>From what I can tell you have both ubuntu-desktop and the gnome3 desktop
installed. I believe this is causing some confusion for the release
upgrader as it is trying to remove ubuntu-release-upgrader-gtk which it
doesn't want to do. Try removing one desktop environment or the other
and see if the upgrade is calculated properly.
