I just found out that apparently this bug was fixed already over a year ago on Debian: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=760980
It suggest to simply update to a new version of r8168-dkms. Shouldn't be too hard, should it ? ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #760980 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=760980 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1429225 Title: r8168-dkms 8.037.00-1: r8168 kernel module failed to build on kernel 3.19.0-031900 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/r8168/+bug/1429225/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
