I just found out that apparently this bug was fixed already over a year ago on 
Debian:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=760980

It suggest to simply update to a new version of r8168-dkms. Shouldn't be
too hard, should it ?
