Public bug reported:
When I try do do an upgrade from Feisty to Gutsy Beta I get this
problem:
$ sudo update-manager -d
warning: could not initiate dbus

The update-manager application is still opened and I can retry my
upgrade. After doing that a couple of times I got past the initial
download and the Distribution Upgrade window appeared. I then got
another error when it was downloading files:
Failed to fetch http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/feisty-
backports/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz Sub-process gzip returned an
error code (1)
This however was solved by disabling Automatix2 (and all other non-
default) repos in /etc/apt/sources.list.
I can reproduce this problem almost every time I try.
