Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

Hi there,

This may well be a duplicate of one of the other Network Manager bugs,
but so far I've gone through about 20 and none of them quite seem to
match. Here's the deal:

I have a working wireless connection (that I'm sending this bug report
through right now). Both K Wireless Assistant (wlassistant) and K
Wireless Tools Pro see my device and connections fine.

Network Manager on the other hand displays the icon that says its
connected to a wired network (it's not) and doesn't show any wireless
networks (there are plenty). When I choose Manual Configuration it says
"No Active Device" although I'm connected through an IPW2100 through
Eth3 (bug 35726?).

My Specs are:
Kubuntu Gutsy 32bit (updated today)
Knetwork Manager 0.2 (not sure of the version beyond this. See below)
HP TC1100 notebook
IPW2100 wireless modem
Using a wireless g network with no authentication (atm)

UPDATE: Another wierd behaviour I'm getting is that when I choose
purge/uninstall that networkmanager is listed as being uninstalled, yet
continues to show in the menu and I can still run it. For this reason I'm not
sure I trust the version number in adept.

I'm not seeing anywhere to attatch the various log files, so I'll try
submitting the bug report and see if it lets me afterwards.
