Since you nominated it for trusty and state it's in progress - is there a way to follow this progress? Are there any test builds you would like to be tested, yet? In case it's not been sufficiently stated before, this issue does affect 14.04 LTS x86_64. It would be great to see a SRU, since it slows the boot process and may trick users into thinking their Ubuntu installation is broken when it is not (doing as the message suggests will just reboot your system).
