Public bug reported:

Exporting photos with same name in different folders result in corrupted image 
files at the target place. 
For example there are some different files in different folders but all of 
those are called as "image1.jpg". Exporting all "image1.jpg"-s from library 
results only one but corrupted "image1.jpg" in the target directory.
I think, in this case shotwell should rename files (for example indexing, such 
as image1(1).jpg, image1(2).jpg and so on) or should be enabled create 
directories at the target place.
