I am not into stuff such as Minecraft, but not having it on a right
click is a pity...

I work in a NGO giving computers running under GNU/Linux and most of the
people never use a terminal.

GUI has improved a lot. One of the reason of a bad reputation of Linux,
that' it was just for geeks and that you have to use a terminal all the
time... Nowadays, it's a legend for the common tasks. Another bad
reputation Linux had was about playing games. It greatly improved, but
there are still a lot of games you have to download from the websites
with a jar extension.

Nautilus can with a right click / permission be marked as an executable. I 
prefer Thunar and don't understand why it is not possible.
Here is my opinion ;)

Anyway, thanks to all the devs working on Thunar, you do a great job !
