I reproduced this bug with 2 different setups while doing a system upgrade from Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS. 1) In software & updates - Updates - Notify me of a new Ubuntu version - For any new version 2) run software updater, select upgrade
systemd-sysv and init fails to install, broken dependency causing more packages not installed. And the system will not boot again. If this particular action leads to problems, why not block the upgrade in first place? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1509816 Title: Upgrade from 14.04 to 15.04 missed systemd-sysv and init package init 1.22ubuntu11 failed to install/upgrade: pre-dependency problem - not installing init To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/init-system-helpers/+bug/1509816/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
