Definitely associated with the nvidia-glx-new. Can't seem to properly install nvidia-glx anymore to test stability. The freezes range from complete system freezes where Alt-PrtScn combinations can't successfully shutdown the computer to softer freezes where only the mouse cursor is left functional.
