Public bug reported:
This was originally a grub problem and I followed the instructions to
restore same from the how to. To get the boot repair it wanted me to
update the image from -15 to -30 which did not happen. It started with
grub failing to find the first block and dropping dead so that I would
have to go through loading the vmlinuz and initrd by hand.
