I've been wanting to install the new openoffice.org-report-builder, but
this bug has been stopping me. Finally figured out how to get rid of
reportdesigner.

Download the .deb. Open it in ark (or gnome equiv), and then open the
binary.tar.gz. Extract the archived file
/usr/lib/openoffice/share/extension/install/reportdesign.oxt to the same
directory. Then, run the following command (it's from the postinst part
of the deb):

> sudo /usr/lib/openoffice/program/unopkg add --shared
> /usr/lib/openoffice/share/extension/install/reportdesign.oxt
> sudo dpkg --purge openoffice.org-reportdesigner
> sudo rm /usr/lib/openoffice/share/extension/install/reportdesign.oxt

Now, you can install the newer report-builder package. Note: you won't
see the reportdesigner in the repos since it has been removed.

Hope this helps.
