This looks like it has been fixed in the version of dynare in Ubuntu
15.10 (dynare 4.4.3-2ubuntu1) but still affects the version in Ubuntu
14.04.
By the way, when I attempt to reproduce, I do get the message "ERROR:
dynare-common is broken - called emacs-package-install as a new-style
add-on, but has no compat file", but this does not turn into a dpkg
error, the rest of the installation proceeds normally.
