I haven't encountered it again until today. It doesn't happen all the time, but it doesn't just go away with a reboot either. I've written a crontab that kills the process every 10 minutes, that's the best workaround for now. Haven't had time to try valgrind.
However, something strange is going on and it's not limited to indicator-session, as you can see in the attached htop screenshot. It's also unity-settings-daemon and the accounts-daemon. So I don't really know *what* to try now. The bug title says "memory leak", that still is the case, though the htop screenshot also shows high cpu usage is a problem. ** Attachment added: "htop screenshot of high cpu & memory" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-session/+bug/1523698/+attachment/4535980/+files/zever-ubuntu.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1523698 Title: indicator-session is leaking memory on ubuntu 15.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-session/+bug/1523698/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
