Public bug reported:

This happens in 16.04.

Best way to reproduce this is running ubuntu in a VM:
 - Start unity desktop in a VM
 - Resize the VM window so that resolution increases

The size of the desktop window is not updated, and stays black.
Restarting nautilus fixes this.
