I have asked this before regarding this error, I have checked the drive with Gparted, it has clean bill of health. my cable is doubtful, the machine does boot and it is main drive with error. other updates are installing. I am getting this error when it tries to update the archive manager. if I uncheck that I get no errors when updating. My question before was this, is there a way to delete just that one file and let it reinstall? is there an alternate way to install the file? My last operating system was to 16.04 alpha, the machine say 15.04, does this matter? My new question is this: I have been using Qimo for a while that updates to Xubuntu, Would it be possible that ditching Qimo in favor of Xubuntu 16.04 may fix this problem? To the best of my knowledge All else works. I have used Linux for years And I love it
