Public bug reported:

Using Ubuntu 15.10

Either search for "boo" in the software centre and try to install the
"Python-like language and compiler for the CLI" package or use apt-get
install boo. A popup or message will warn the user that software needs
to be uninstalled, most of which seems completely unrelated.

Some of the packages required to be uninstalled include:

compiz
g++, gcc, etc
firefox
gedit
gnome system monitor
gparted

Plus a huge amount of other packages, totalling 1.5G.

For all these packages to be removed to simply use a compiler and
runtime environment for an obscure scripting languages doesn't seem
right.

** Affects: apt (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Summary changed:

- Boo (Python-like language for the CLI) requires seemingly unrelated software
to be uninstalled (~1.5G remove for 3.8 install)
+ Boo (Python-like language for the CLI) requires seemingly unrelated software
to be uninstalled (~1.5G remove for 3.8M install)
