This remains an issue for me in Ubuntu 15.10. Most of the time, when I launch 
freemind, the launching-progress-bar only makes it to about 10% as can be seen 
in this screenshot:

Sometimes I have to kill the dependent java process 4 or 5 times before
freemind will launch successfully.

Above I've provided more details about this issue, and I'm hoping
someone who understands those details can provide me a suggestion.
