I'm using now Ubuntu 16.04 dev with vlc 2.2.1-5 and on retesting this
I'm noticing that the dependency for this on vlc-nox has changed to
"libavcodec-ffmpeg56 (>= 7:2.4) | libavcodec-ffmpeg-extra56 (>= 7:2.4)"
and I was able to successfully replace libavcodec-ffmpeg56 by installing
libavcodec-ffmpeg-extra56 without removing anything else so this issue
is fixed.
