This is still happening. I have been updating since Tribe 4 I think and there is still no fix for this. Perhaps I need to re-install to check if this has been fixed?
I just installed daily updates, and upon selecting reboot, it just restarts gnome and sends me to the login screen. When selecting restart again from the options tab, it sends me to the default gnome loging screen. Have to hard kill the machne to restart. This is a pretty serious bug in my opinion.
