Hi all,

This bug report is not meaningless because I don't mean deleting a file
in the readonly squashfs image...

I find in xubuntu livecd mode (try without installing xubuntu), if I
delete a file on the desktop, Thunar raises a dialog says "Unable to
find or create trash directory". But it's ok to delete a directory on
the desktop.

The core reason for this is described in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/glib2.0/+bug/1391807, which is
related to glib and overlayfs.

The core intent of this bug report is, that Thunar should treat the
error returned by glib more friendly. For example, if glib says it fails
to create trash directory, Thunar may raise a dialog says "Do you want
to delete the file permanantly?". One good example of such operation is
Nautilus. You team can check Nautilus's behavior by running livecd mode
of ubuntu (not xbuntu), and trying to delete a file on the desktop.

Thanks!
