<OT> Just in case - If U are unlucky with 14.04 LTS - I would assume that U are having an UEFI-Mainboard, thus U should install wt UEFI- Media, instead of BIOS-Legacy. In case U need help on this, it's preferable that you join with ur local Kubuntu-Forum in order to seek advice. U can find some information/link on https://www.kubuntu.org or take a look at https://askubuntu.com/ OT: You should be able to run an upgrade 16.04.1 LTS lateron, it would be recommend then to wait half year upon the to have things settled. The system will inform u then. But U can also stick with Trusty Tahr 14.04 since this gets supporrted until 2019. Newer Versions of Kubuntu will contain Plasma5 which is not yet ment for a stable production environment. This may sound harsh but it's honest. at least.
