Ah! Okay. I wasn't sure initially if this was a bug ... I was kind of hoping that gsynaptics would ask if this line is to be added to xorg.conf and it would then add it if the user opts to (kind of doesn't make sense to install gsynaptics and not have that line added!). I was thinking from an average Joe's point of view who wouldn't want to manually edit system files. If this is not the expected behaviour, then of course this is not a bug.
