Public bug reported: Test image: trusty 14.04.3
Because BlueZ 5.0 doesn't support "HSP/HFP" anymore, so need to remove the option on Sound Settings. Refer http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/PulseAudio/Notes/5.0/ : The BlueZ project also decided to drop support for the HSP and HFP profiles, which were the profiles responsible for handling telephony audio. If you have a headset, its microphone won't work with BlueZ 5, because the microphone is only supported by the HSP and HFP profiles. ** Affects: oem-priority Importance: Critical Status: New ** Affects: oem-priority/trusty Importance: Critical Status: New ** Affects: indicator-sound (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: oem-priority Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: oem-priority/trusty Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: oem-priority/trusty Importance: Undecided => Critical ** Changed in: oem-priority Importance: Undecided => Critical -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1533052 Title: Should remove the "HSP/HFP" mode from "Sound Settings" for BT headset with Bluez 5.0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/1533052/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
