I had this problem too, but it only occurred the second time I tried. Here is what happened:
1) I tried to upgrade to GutsyBeta 2) It told me that some sources would be disabled (I said OK) 3) All seamed fine, it should fetch 1323 upgrades, but during this process my network died thus effectively aborting the upgrade. 4) I restored my network (had to do a restart) 5) I tried to upgrade to GutsyBeta again, and got the exact same error as you, (with a dk-mirror) Now I also found a solution (at least this worked for me). I just re- enabled the disabled sources in /etc/apt/source.list (I think those were the ones):
deb http://dk.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ feisty-backports main restricted universe multiverse deb-src http://dk.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ feisty-backports main restricted universe multiverse
I hope this helps. -- UpdateManager fails to fetch dist-upgrade tarball https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120957 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
