Public bug reported:
In both feisty and gutsy, the sound in 1st gen macbooks is in a very bad shape:
1) the output sound is mono/distorted
2) the master volume control doesn't control the master volume
3) the microphone doesn't work
the Subsystem id on those macbooks is : 0x106b0a00
