The original system is not available for testing, but I was able to reproduce this behavior on an alternate test system. In this test, I altered the partition table on /dev/sda to match the reported scenario. I then attempted a 14.04 install on /dev/sdb. From my point of view, I do not want /dev/sda touched (it is not the droid you are looking for). ** Attachment added: "wget logs from "set -x" test" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1523637/+attachment/4550145/+files/p824l_prep_debug.tgz -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1523637 Title: grub-installer fails due to alternate disk partition error - 14.04.3 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub-installer/+bug/1523637/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
