Public bug reported:

I just updated my Kubuntu 15.10 64bit (AMD A8-6500T, Mesa 11.0.2) to Plasma
5.5.3 via the Kubuntu Backports PPA.
There was also new version of sddm - old Xsession file been left while asked
about replace to the new version.
sddm was updated probably to version 0.13.0-1ubuntu5~ubuntu15.10~ppa1

After reboot - the screen is full with horizontal lines, although everything
seems to work.
But - after killing the X by Ctrl-Alt-Backspace and logging in again, with the
same user - everything works.

What I tried, without any result:
 * Clearing ~/.cache directory
 * sudo apt-get install -f
 * sudo dpkg --configure -a
 * Rename of Root/usr/share/sddm/scripts Xsession to Xsession.old and
Xsession.dpkg-dist to Xsession
 * Renaming Home/ .config and .kde directories
 * Deleting the default user from sddm.conf file in hope to manually login. The
result is login screen with horizontal lines.

Attached a picture of the screen after full reboot.
Note the mouse cursor - without lines.
