Googling around that issue, it affects: - nvidia GTX750 family running 'nouveau' driver - other distro are also affected, like https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1244311
Looks like it is related to the recent kms kernel changes made with the 4.0 kernel family. Myself cant boot with the 'nvidia' driver as lightdm/gdm/gdm3 fails and xorg then fails and ends with a black screen . ** Bug watch added: Red Hat Bugzilla #1244311 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1244311 ** Also affects: xorg-server Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Project changed: xorg-server => linux -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1505850 Title: Xorg crashed with SIGABRT in FreeClientResources() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1505850/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
