"In the control center i can add multiple timezones" suggests that this is about the PC, not the phone. Is that correct, Kai? (Ubuntu on phones makes it more important than ever that bug reports mention an exact Ubuntu version.)
Choosing an indicator menu item is more convenient than diving into System Settings, but it still counts as "set the new timezone manually". Automatic time zone changing would be based on location. So if this was about the phone, it would be a duplicate of bug 1377087.
