Public bug reported:

When trying to install Ubuntu 14.04 LTS or Ubuntu 15.10 on an HP ZBook 14 G2, 
the following error occurs when trying to partition disks:
"Attempt to mount a filesystem with type ext4 in SCSI7 (0,0,0). partition #1 at 
/ failed."

I have tried to on two different, identical machines and have only been
able to install Linux (Mint 17.1) with kernel 3.13. It seems all newer
versions fail. Specs of the hardware are here:
