Tried the xenial 4.4 kernel listed in #3. Connected to network printer settings says O.K. jpg files read fine from the networked XP.
Submit print job, queque shows "completed", but nothing ever prints except from 14.04 which works fine. Booted another partition with xenial 4.3.0-7, connected to printer, says O.K. jpg files read fine, the network connection O.K. for files. Submitted print job. queue shows "completed" but nothing prints, except from 14.04 which works fine. Any clue what to try next?
