Hello, Same here on Bio-Linux 8 (Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS) AMD64.
To get networking back, you'll have to downgrade two packages. Find another machine, download these debs from launchpad. Copy to affected machine, and install: $sudo dpkg -i libnl-3-200_3.2.21-1_amd64.deb libnl- route-3-200_3.2.21-1_amd64.deb $sudo reboot You should now have working network.
