  Same here on Bio-Linux 8 (Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS) AMD64.

 To get networking back, you'll have to downgrade two packages.  Find
another machine, download these debs from launchpad.  Copy to affected
machine, and install:

$sudo dpkg -i libnl-3-200_3.2.21-1_amd64.deb libnl-
route-3-200_3.2.21-1_amd64.deb

$sudo reboot

You should now have working network.
