for me the installation went well - PowerMac G5 , 7.3 , DualProcessor and Nvidia 5200 FX.
After installation , boot process with various results - striped colours , black screen, etc. What helped me was to edit yaboot.conf following this guide here http://www.mintppc.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1289 so i was able to boot up and login normally and use computer. but after "apt-get update"and "upgrade" i had to download many packages and afterwards i experienced kernel panic kernel that was installed was number 3.13.
