Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: compiz
I know, there are several similar bugs around (bug #146138, bug #130110,
bug #137803), but I decided to create a new report anyway:
Before I write the problem, let me mention the following things:
* My graphics card is a "ATI Mobility Radeon 9700"
* starting compiz is no problem
* running opengl apps in general (fullscreen or not) is no problem (glxgears,
games, etc. work)
So the deadly combination is: While compiz is active start mplayer with
the gl2 video output and then press F for fullscreen. As soon as I hit
the F key, the X server crashes.
My screen resolution -- if it matters -- is 1440x900; this is why I have
the following ~/.mplayer/config file:
vo=gl2
monitoraspect=1.6
As always: If compiz is not started -- as it was before gutsy -- mplayer
runs just fine ;)
** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Description changed:
