apport information

** Tags added: apport-collected xenial

** Description changed:

I usually suspend my computer (HP EliteBook 8560w) to RAM if I tranport
it or I don't need it and I restart it only once a month or so. However,
since a few weeks, my computer gets slow, sluggish, and ultimately
freezes after using it for some hours, because some 'invisible'
processes use all the RAM (8 GB). When I notice in time that there is no
or little memory left in RAM so that the computer starts to use swap
memory and I immediately close all programs, I can restart the computer
before it gets unresponsive. I have to restart my computer at least once
per day (often by pressing the on/off button for a long time, when I did
not manage to restart the computer before it became unresponsive).
Although a lot of memory is used, the processes that use most of the
memory are not listed by "System Activity" or "top" (I will attached a
screen shot and a text file that illustrate this). Hence, it seems that
some 'invisible' processes use nearly all of the memory.

I ran MemTest86 (from the boot menu) but it did not find any errors.

I did not use 'apport' to report this bug, because it does not really
  work:

  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apport/+bug/1539263

but I managed to save the information collected by apport, which I will
  attach.

Which further information do you need?
