Public bug reported: It is currently a nightmare to run Jack and Ardour, and a real pain to configure, and I have to enter my password all the time, just to load Jack.
I want to switch all my music associates over to Ubuntu and Jokosher, but until it is easier to setup, and works better that is impossible. You may not think recording music is all that important to Linux adoption, but nearly half of the machines that I administer require it. If Ubuntu is ever going to be a first tier OS that more than a gross minority of people use, this needs to be addressed. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Ardour, Jack, Password Nightmares. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/147493 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
