Public bug reported:

After I set maximum volume in Qt interface settings to 100%, I can still
raise volume above that by mouse wheel, if it is not hovering the volume
control  UI area. Likewise I can set volume above 100%, if I use
shortcut keys. This should be consistent with the maximum volume
setting.
