I have now also filed a report on this issue upstream: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=761508
** Description changed: I don't know, maybe once we figure out more about this issue the bug report's title can be made more accurate, but basically this is what I am noticing at the moment: After a fresh install, in a few days (and I have tried many fresh installs and the issue still persists) I will not be able to use the CAPSLOCK key to get upper case letters in the search text box in the Activities Overview, in the box that comes up to ask for one's password when authenticating something requiring root permissions, and on the locked screen which asks for one's password in order to log in. The CAPSLOCK key works perfectly fine in all other places (or at least I haven't found anywhere else where it fails), though in those particular ones I have to use the SHIFT key in order to get any upper case letters. And when I press the CAPSLOCK key the green light on my keyboard does go on even though it doesn't make any other impact seemingly on anything. As I said before, I have tried many installs, and the problem has been - around for many months now. Though it wasn't present on 3.16, I don't - know if it would be present on 15.10 with 3.16 because I always upgrade + around for many months now. Though it wasn't present in 3.16, I don't + know if it would be present in 15.10 with 3.16 because I always upgrade to 3.18 and have never stopped to wait and see. --- OS Information: No LSB modules are available.
