Well, I made the change. It took a few tries until I figured it out (e.g., I don't have nano; I have gedit), but I made the change and installed the latest updates. The only problem is that now when I boot I get an unwanted OS selection menu from linux. Now I have to try to figure out how to get rid of that... I assume it was in amongst the update packages, but all the names are so cryptic, I have no idea which one(s) it might be. Well, I guess that will be a different post...
