I am running edgy
I have / on a raid 1 device /dev/md0
This is comprised of /dev/hda1 and /dev/hdb1
I am not using evms, but mdadm to manage my devices.
If I remove /dev/hda1 and reboot, the machine will boot up fine, but in
degraded mode (as expected).
If I re-add /dev/hda1 I would expect it to do the same (rejecting hda1
until it has been readded to array)
This is not the case. Instead after re-adding the /dev/hda1 disk i get
mdadm: failed to add /dev/hdb1 to /dev/md0: Invalid argument.
mdadm: failed to add /dev/hdb1 to /dev/md0: Invalid argument.
mdadm: /dev/md0 assembled from 0 drives - not enough to start the array
mdadm: failed to add /dev/hdb1 to /dev/md0: Invalid argument.
mdadm: failed to add /dev/hdb1 to /dev/md0: Invalid argument.
mdadm: /dev/md0 assembled from 0 drives - not enough to start the array
and then eventually i am dropped into busybox.
Running mdrun produces the lines above.
I note that mdrun manual says "mdrun has been deprecated on Debian.
Please use mdadm instead"
