Same thing happens to me. I set up a mobile broadband connection, then connect to the internet.
1. I am completely unable to edit the mobile broadband connection 2. I am not really connected to the internet. Firefox can make no connections, and I cannot ping any servers. This renders my laptop basically useless. I am unable to do any work.
