after spending COUNTLESS hours trying to research this, i never found a
solution that really worked for me. (some did partial/temp fixes)
anyways; I have a asus mb, amd x2 64x, nvidia 7300GS, and with the same known
problem: "title bar missing after beryl/compiz finished loading".
**note: in many other postings, they had mentioned that you should add
the following options to your "xorg.conf" file (/etc/X11/xorg.conf),
Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "true"
Option "RenderAccel" "true"
Option "AllowGLXWithComposite" "true"
and that you should also make sure that your screen's dept is set to 24 in
"xorg.conf" file as well;
#although these options didn't appear to fix my problem, i didn't remove them
from my xorg.conf file.
so here's what FIXED this glitch on my setup:
1.I added beryl as a "start up item" (-system-session-startup programs)
2.(using my configuration), I also need to manually click on "beryl" in the
"applications" menu (so the beryl loads properly), and everything is
SMOOOOOOOOOOOTH from there....
