Upgrading the kernel does not help this issue. Moreover, the upgrade
gives new issues. For the third time now, the network of one of the
Ubuntu VMs suddenly goes down. As so it seems. There is nothing in
/var/log/syslog that indicates that the VM has a problem. It is
continuing its work. But from the outside the VM is unreachable. This
was a problem we never had before the upgrade. There were no significant
other changes. I am downgrading my machines back to Vivid.
