I had been working on addressing this. I finally made time to finish my changes, which have been rebased on top of your (colin-king's) PPA. With these changes, zed works out-of-the-box, has all non-debugging scripts enabled, and emails root by default (just like mdadm has for years).
The upstream scripts expect zed-functions.sh in /etc/zfs/zed.d. I've installed to to /usr/lib and symlinked it instead. I don't think we really want that to be a conffile edited by users. ** Attachment added: "zfs-linux.zed.debdiff.2" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/zfs-linux/+bug/1547549/+attachment/4576972/+files/zfs-linux.zed.debdiff.2 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1547549 Title: zfs utils do not recommend or provide anything to discover errors To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/zfs-linux/+bug/1547549/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
