Public bug reported: Here is my alsa information http://www.alsa- project.org/db/?f=28d4f08505741656bfb1905b7bc21e20365ae5de
I am currently outputting audio through SPDIF to a 5.1 system, but I only get stereo pcm audio option in system settings->sound. I can see no 5.1 ac3 output. I could however see it for a brief time whenever I logged in as guest or created a new account. Now, the 5.1 output appears not even there, it just vanished. I followed these instructions to no avail: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DigitalAC-3Pulseaudio Thanks in advance. ** Affects: alsa-utils (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1547990 Title: 5.1 output not appearing in system settings->sound ubuntu 14.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-utils/+bug/1547990/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
