Installation fails at grub isntall.

Attempted to manually mount target volumes and run grub-install and
update grub in chroot. Get the following:

grub-probe: error: cannot find a GRUB drive for /dev/sdk1.  Check your 
device.map.
done

/dev/sdk1 is the installation usb drive, the wrong volume.
