Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

I updated to Gutsy from Feisty. Rebooted the system, every thing was fine.
Then turned on visual effects, installed compizconfig. Tweaked the settings.
Then the system crashed during playing a movie, this was probably a hardware
problem. Doesn't seem to be related.
After a reboot the system booted into a black screen.

My system is the Acer Travelmate C300, with
-Intel 855GME graphics chipset
-Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.40GHz

Steps to reproduce:
Boot the system with this xorg.conf (http://pastebin.es/1544).
It boot's normally, but when it gets to the login screen the screen turns
black. And I'm unable to go to a terminal with ctrl+alt+F1/2/3/4/5. The screen
stays black.

Putting back my previous xorg.conf (http://pastebin.es/1545) fixes the
problem.

Please tell me if extra info is needed.

** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu)
