Public bug reported:

Short:
The LiveCD does not finish the restart process after installation. I had to use
the Kernel sys-rq reboot.

Long:
After I finished installing Ubuntu 6.10 in my HP dv2000t (Intel Core 2 Duo)
laptop I decided to restart the computer to start using my brand new
installation rather than continuing with the live one. When the live CD began
to restart it ejected my cd and froze in a black screen but wouldn't reboot.
After 1 minute I decided to do the force PC restart through the kernel sys-rq
command (Key+SysRQ+B)

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Untriaged
         Status: Unconfirmed
