Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
When I am running Metacity, Direct Rendering appears to be disabled. Google
earth is painfully slow and glxgears slowed x to a halt. Running glxinfo | grep
rendering returns "Direct Rendering: No". However, if I bypass the blacklist
and enable compiz, then run glxinfo again, it shows "Direct Rendering: Yes"
This is a Dell Vostro 1500 with Intel GMA x3100 (965 chipset)
