Christopher, Absolute nightmare. I used my dual boot setup to access Windows 8 and update the BIOS and then had huge problems accessing Ubuntu, finally using boot-repair since the BIOS upgrade had deleted the boot menu. And after all that it has made absolutely no difference to the double log in problem.
